Have you ever wondered what it’s like to work at OptiGrid? In our 5 Minutes With series, we share a glimpse of the people who bring our platform to life.
This week, we’re spending 5 minutes with Ahmed, our Software Engineer👇
🔹 What’s your role at OptiGrid and what does a typical day look like for you?
I’m a Backend Software Engineer. A typical day starts with coffee and our daily standup, where I pick my tasks for the day. I spend most of my time writing code, but I also talk to our partners, do analysis and help with the software design.
🔹 What excites you most about working on BESS project integrations?
BESS plays a vital role in the transition to renewables, and it feels great to be part of that.
🔹 How would you describe OptiGrid’s team culture in three words?
Open, friendly and collaborative.
🔹 What’s your most memorable moment having worked with the team so far?
Watching our very first battery go live with the software we wrote!
🔹 If you could switch roles with someone at OptiGrid for a day, who would it be and why?
I would swap with someone from the frontend team because it would be a chance to solve different kinds of problems.
